Disaster Recovery Centers
There are two locations where Angelenos who were impacted by the fires can receive help navigating City, County, State and Federal assistance programs and services, including:
- Evacuation area Re-Entry Passes for Palisades residents and authorized contractors.
- Help with the FEMA Individual Assistance application process.
- Lost vital records, such as birth certificates, death certificates, driver’s licenses and social security documentation.
- Disaster relief for people with homes and businesses lost or damaged by the fire.
- Referrals for mental health counseling and other services.
- Animal Services.
- LA County Assessor for temporary property tax relief for calamity situations.
- California Department of Tax and Fee Administration.
- California Franchise Tax Board: help with tax refunds for disaster loss.
Disaster Recovery Centers are open Monday-Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM.
Donations are NOT accepted at Disaster Recovery Centers. Visit the BU for information on how to support the survivors and emergency responders impacted by wildfires.

- WIC offers food benefits for mothers with low incomes.
- Sign up for CalFresh food benefits or have them replace food lost in the fires.
- Find food banks near you.
Pet Assistance
If your pets have gone missing due to the wildfires and you are needing assistance to find them, please call the Los Angeles Fire Evacuation Animal Services Hotline at 213-270-8155.
